DENVER — Kyle Connor had three objectives for his first common season hat trick to guide the Winnipeg Jets over the Colorado Avalanche 7-Four Tuesday evening.
Blake Wheeler scored twice and Mark Sheifele and Nikolaj Ehlers had empty-net objectives for Winnipeg. Scheifele had three assists and Ehlers had two. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 39 photographs.
Connor’s second objective broke a Three-all tie and got here simply seven seconds into Winnipeg’s solely energy play of the sport. He received his 20th of the season and his hat trick when he roofed a backhander at 16:31 of the third.
Connor’s solely different hat trick got here within the playoffs final spring.
Wheeler has 19 objectives and 50 factors in 36 profession video games in opposition to Colorado. Scheifele has 27 factors in 26 video games.

Nathan MacKinnon had two objectives and Gabriel Landeskog and Nazem Kadri scored for the Avalanche. Colorado is 1-Four-1 in its final six video games regardless of outshooting the Jets 43-26. Philipp Grubauer stopped 19 of 24 photographs he confronted.
